Welcome to our website!

We're glad you're here!

The Mustard Seed

The Mustard Seed started in 1991 after I experienced trouble finding a Bible.  On the road to work one day, the Lord gave me the idea to open a Christian bookstore.  With no retail experience to speak of (I was a banker for 27 years), much prayer and research, the Lord opened doors only He could open and The Mustard Seed opened in our first location in October 1991 in Coffeyville, KS.  The Parsons store opened in 1992.  After much deliberation and heartache, we closed the Coffeyville store in 2004 and focused 100% attention on the Parsons location.

Redeemed and Repurposed

God provided just the right people at just the right time with just the right talents to introduce us to "repurposing" furniture.  Much like people, who the world says are of no value, we breathe new life into outdated furniture with our own chalk paint - just like Jesus did for us with his shed blood on the cross.  We have learned a lot over the years, and we are happy to help others get started enjoying their own "paint therapy" - or we can paint your pieces for you.
